- 12 large white mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup cooked sausage, crumbled and drained
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2. Clean the mushrooms and carefully remove the stems, creating a hollow space for the stuffing. Set the mushroom caps aside.
- 3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crumbled and drained sausage, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
