Keto Pork Chops with Creamy Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 8oz (about 2 cups) mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme)
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- 1.Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 2.In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- 3.Add the seasoned pork chops to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and have an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set them aside.
- 4.In the same skillet, add the finely chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and the onions become translucent.
- 5.Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 6.Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, grated Parmesan cheese, fresh thyme leaves, and fresh rosemary leaves. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer.
- 7.Return the cooked pork chops to the skillet and let them simmer in the creamy mushroom sauce for about 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- 8.If desired, garnish your Keto Pork Chops with Creamy Mushroom Sauce with chopped fresh parsley for added flavour and presentation.
- 9.Serve hot as a delicious and satisfying keto-friendly dinner.
