Ingredients
- 1/2 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers (any color)
- 1/4 cup sliced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for a gluten-free option)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste or minced fresh ginger
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
- Sliced green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Thinly slice the beef sirloin or flank steak. Season it with salt and black pepper to taste.
- 2. Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the broccoli florets for about 2 minutes until they are slightly tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
- 3. In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger paste (or minced fresh ginger) and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the thinly sliced beef and cook for about 2-3 minutes until it's browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- 4. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onions. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until they begin to soften.
- 5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and add the blanched broccoli florets.
- 6. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce with xanthan gum (if using). Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli.
- 7. Stir-fry the ingredients for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the beef and vegetables evenly.
- 8. If desired, garnish your Keto Beef and Broccoli Bowls with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for added flavor and presentation.
- 9. Serve your stir-fry hot as a delicious and keto-friendly meal.
