- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
- 1/4cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for a gluten-free option)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste or minced fresh ginger
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
- Red pepper flakes for added spice (optional)
Instructions
- 1.In a large skillet or wok, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until it's browned and cooked through. Break it up into crumbles as it cooks. Remove excess fat if necessary and set aside.
- 2.In the same skillet, add the diced onions and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until they become fragrant and translucent.
- 3.Add the thinly sliced green cabbage to the skillet with the sautéed onions and garlic. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized.
- 4.Stir in the soy sauce (or tamari), sesame oil, ginger paste (or minced fresh ginger), salt, and black pepper. Continue to stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes to coat the cabbage and combine all the flavors.
- 5.Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet with the cabbage mixture. Stir well to combine and heat through.
