Ingredients
- 1 bunch of fresh asparagus spears (about 20 spears)
- 5-6 slices of bacon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2. Wash the asparagus spears and trim the tough ends. You can do this by holding one end of an asparagus spear and snapping it. It will naturally break where the tough part ends, and you can discard the bottom part.
- 3. Divide the asparagus spears into bundles of 4-5 spears each.
- 4. Take a slice of bacon and wrap it tightly around a bundle of asparagus spears. Repeat with the remaining asparagus bundles and bacon slices.
- 5. Place the bacon-wrapped asparagus bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 6. Drizzle olive oil over the wrapped asparagus, and season with salt and black pepper to taste..
- 7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy, and the asparagus is tender.
- 8. If desired, garnish the Keto Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus Spears with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
- 9. Serve hot as a flavourful keto-friendly snack or side dish.
