Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook the bacon until it's crispy. Remove the cooked bacon from the skillet and place it on paper towels to drain excess grease. Once cooled, crumble or chop the bacon into smaller pieces.
Grease a 9x9-inch (23x23 cm) casserole dish or a similar-sized baking dish.
Spread the crumbled bacon evenly in the bottom of the casserole dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the bacon.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until well combined.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bacon and cheese in the casserole dish.
Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown, and the casserole is set in the center. You can also check for doneness by inserting a knife into the center; if it comes out clean, the casserole is ready.
Allow the casserole to rest for a few minutes before serving. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh chives for added flavor and presentation.
