We know that privacy policies are usually written in a way that discourages anyone from actually reading them. We’ve tried to do the opposite. What Data We Collect
Information you give us directly includes your name and email address when you sign up for our free meal plan, newsletter, or any other lead magnet; your name, email, and message content when you contact us through our contact form; and payment information when you purchase a digital product or coaching service, processed securely via our payment provider we do not store card details ourselves. Information collected automatically includes standard server log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time and date of visit; cookie data as described in our Cookie Policy; and analytics data via Google Analytics, anonymised where possible. If you interact with us via social media, we may receive basic profile information in line with that platform’s privacy settings.
How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data to deliver the free resources, meal plans, or products you have requested; to send you our email newsletter if you have opted in; to respond to your enquiries and support requests; to improve the Ketology website based on aggregate anonymised usage data; to process payments and fulfil digital product orders; and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Legal Basis for Processing
Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following lawful bases: consent for email marketing and non-essential cookies; contract to fulfil purchases you have made; and legitimate interests for basic site analytics and security purposes, where these do not override your rights.
Email Marketing
If you sign up for our newsletter or download a free resource, you will be added to our email list via. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send.
How Long We Keep Your Data
Email subscriber data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed, or up to 12 months after your last engagement. Contact form enquiries are retained for up to 24 months. Purchase records are retained for 7 years in line with HMRC requirements. Analytics data is retained in aggregate anonymised form indefinitely.
Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to processing based on legitimate interests; request restriction of processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@ketology.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Third-Party Services We Use
To operate the site we use Google Analytics for website traffic analysis, [email platform] for email list management, Amazon Associates for affiliate link tracking, and [payment processor] for secure payment processing. Each of these services has its own privacy policy which we encourage you to review.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date. Continued use of Ketology.co.uk after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
